Application Recommendations

EcoSand will not burn or harm plants or turf. Apply directly to soil or in combination with composted material, humates, microbiologicals, or other beneficial products. Lightly water after application.

Remineralization

Beds: Flowers, Plants and Vegetables

New Beds:

Till 1 pound per 10 square feet

Each Spring:

Lightly till or scratch 1 pound per 10 square feet into the surface of the soil

Pots:

Mix ½ a cup in the soil for an 8 inch diameter pot

Potting Mix:

1 pound per 5 gallons of soil

Lawn and Turf

New:

Before seeding or laying sod, lightly till or scratch 20 pounds per 1,000 square feet

Existing:

Broadcast or spread 5 to 10 pounds per 1,000 square feet in the spring and fall

Compost

Residential:

Add 1 pound per 10 cubic feet

Commercial:

Field Crops:

Apply 75 to 150 pounds per acre annually

CEC and Porosity Improvement

Golf Course and Sports Turf

New Construction:

5 to 10% by volume in greens and tees mix

Top Dress:

50 to 100 pounds per 1,000 square feet

Aerification:

75 to 150 pounds per 1,000 square feet

For soils that are low in nitrogen, lightly fertilizer after EcoSand application (3 pounds of a 10% nitrogen per 100 pounds of EcoSand). This nitrogen application will charge the EcoSand fertilizer reservoir that is naturally charged with potassium
